Advice From the Long Road
Given that I first joined SCBWI in 1997 and didn’t see my first book published for 20 years, I’m wary of new children’s writers who seem to be in a hurry. At the same time, I remember feeling that way. My road has been slow. I’m a late bloomer. I don’t have a single shortcut to share.
