New Printables for Sharing

Injuries are a common part of childhood. Like the little girl in Pie Is for Sharing, we can find comfort in the form of a hug, a bandage, and telling a caring adult what happened. Often that’s enough. Even as a grownup, I appreciate a good adhesive bandage — unwrapping it, pulling off the little end covers, and smoothing it onto my skin.

Yet some injuries and upsets are too much for children (or even adults) to put into words. Some wounds are invisible, or too big for a bandage. Hurt children are often silenced or ignored. Stories and art can’t fix everything. But given a piece of paper, a few crayons, and a chance to tell our stories, we can bring a speck of comfort to ourselves or to others. And in some small way, the world can be made better.
